About Ravyn as a Game Master:

I have been involved with Table Top Role-playing Games (TTRPGs) for the better part of a decade as a player, game master, and game designer. I've worked with a number of different systems ranging from Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e - 5e, Cortex, Dragon Age RPG, Pathfinder, and more. I've also developed and published my own TTRPG system called FUNdamental RPG. I've used all of this experience to run compelling, moving, and entertaining campaigns via Twitch and Roll20 and I am now able to bring that experience to your game nights.

FAQs:

What TTRPG system does Ravyn use? / Is this Dungeons & Dragons?
While FUNdamental RPG is the official TTRPG system for The Ravyn Evermore, players are welcome to choose any system they would like for their session (Dungeons & Dragons, Powered by the Apocalypse, Call of Chtulu, etc).

 

Do I need the book(s) for the gaming system or will those be provided?
The Ravyn Evermore will provide a PDF copy of FUNdaemental RPG for any games being run on that system. For other systems we will do our best to find official, free resources for that system for you (D&D 5e has numerous free resources for example) but, depending on the system, you may need to purchase a copy of the rulebook.

Safety is very important to me, can I stipulate content I don’t want to see in games?
Absolutely! Safety and consent in gaming is a big priority here which is why we will have a form open to all players before the session where they can anonymously list their “lines and veils” which specifies topics or content that they 100% are not ok with in their game as well as topics and content that they’d be ok with so long as it happens “behind a veil” without being described in detail. Throughout the game Ravyn will also make checks to see if everyone is OK, enjoying the game, and happy to continue. Players will be given the option to say or signal “OK,” “OK but need to move away from the current topic/content,” or “Not OK, stop the game.” If the “Not OK” is ever communicated, Ravyn will stop the game, discuss the situation with the player, & decide with that player how to proceed so as to ensure everyone enjoys the game. Players are also welcome to make periodic checks with everyone as well.

I really want to play a game but what if I can’t get enough people to play?
Organizing logistics and schedules for a gaming session can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, however, Ravyn can run games with as few as 1 player and a maximum of 8. So, whether it’s just you or you have a large group, Ravyn can work with that.

I don’t think I can afford the rate for a private game, is there still a way I can get a game with Ravyn?

While The Ravyn Evermore tries to make games as affordable as possible, we certainly understand that not everyone can afford a private session. We do have an alternative for you, however! Ravyn regularly runs games on the Blackfeather Guild Twitch channel (twitch.tv/Ravvyn) which are free for players to join. The format is a bit different and there are some minor equipment requirements (webcam, microphone, etc.), however this is a free option if you’d like to join a game with Ravyn. Spots & dates are subject to availability & all Blackfeather Guild games will be streamed live with audience participation.

I really enjoy Ravyn’s content and I’d like to sign up for a private campaign, not just a single session. Is this possible and, if so, is there a discount for multiple sessions?

We’re so glad you like the content and want to run a multi-session campaign! You absolutely may book Ravyn for multi-session or ongoing campaigns. The rates for that will depend on the number of sessions and players involved as well as what day of the week/time you wish to book, however, it will be discounted from the standard rate.
